Royals announce Erik Jesberger as Director of Communications

The Reading Royals announced Tuesday that Erik Jesberger has joined the team as their Director of Communications. 

“Erik’s filled in for the last few games and done a fantastic job.  He’s a true professional,” commented Royals General Manager David Farrar. “He’s one of the first people here on game days, and always has a positive attitude. Reading Royals fans will enjoy getting to know Erik over the course of this season and beyond."

"We are excited to have Erik join the Royals as our broadcaster," said Head Coach Kirk MacDonald. "In the short time Erik has been with us, he has been detailed, hard-working, and has shown professionalism well beyond his age. We all look forward to working with him closely for the rest of the 2021-22 season."

Jesberger, a Lansdale, PA native, is a sophomore Media Studies and Production major at the Klein College of Media and Communication at Temple University. He is a reporter for OwlSports Update, an on-air talent for WHIP radio as a weekly show host, and a broadcaster during the Temple football and basketball seasons. Jesberger commentated the Flyers Cup hockey tournament last year with the TUICE Network and began with the Royals as a Broadcast and Media Relations intern in the Fall 2021. Erik is always up for a pickup game of basketball, ice hockey, backyard corn hole or a chat about Philly sports.
