Berks Packing Holiday Ham Shoot On December 18 Every Fan In Attendance at Royals’ Game on Friday, December 18, Will Get Chance to Shoot for a Ham

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced the team will host the Holiday Ham Shoot Presented by Berks Packing. Under the promotion, every fan in attendance at the Royals’ game on Friday, December 18, 2009 (7:05 pm) against the Elmira Jackals will be invited onto the ice after the completion of game to take one shot at the goal from a designated location on the ice. Every fan who ‘scores a goal’ will receive a free holiday ham courtesy of Berks Packing. In conjunction with the “Holiday Ham Shoot,” the Royals and the Greater Berks Food Bank (www.berksfoodbank.org) will be hosting a holiday food drive at the game on December 18th. Royals fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items that will be distributed to more than 250 charitable organizations throughout Berks County this holiday season. Donations will be accepted at the main entrance to the Sovereign Center (7th & Penn Streets) prior to the game.
The Royals continue a five game road trip in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Saturday (December 12, 2009 @ 7:30 pm) when the team will face the Cincinnati Cyclones for the first time this season. The Royals game night broadcast for Saturday night’s game on the Royals Radio Network Presented by Transmissions by Arbogast kicks off at 7:00 pm.
