Noecker Repeats As Equipment Manager of Year
Bryan Rogers of Dayton and Mike Companick of Trenton Also Honored

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL today announced that the organization’s equipment manager, Pat Noecker, was selected as the Reebok Hockey ECHL Equipment Manager of the Year by the Society of Professional Hockey Equipment Managers (SPHEM). It was also announced that Bryan Rogers of the Dayton Bombers received the 2008-09 Sports Health ECHL Athletic Trainer of the Year from the Professional Hockey Athletic Trainers Society (PHATS). The PHATS/SPHEM Executive Committee also announced that Mike Companick of the Trenton Devils received the 2008-09 ECHL Locker Room Attendant of the Year Award.

This marked the second consecutive season that Noecker, who has been the Royals’ equipment manager since January of 2006, was selected as the ECHL Equipment Manager of the Year. Noecker, who grew up in the Reading area and graduated from Wyomissing High School, is a former professional hockey in-line goaltender who has served as an emergency back-up for the Royals on a number of occasions. Noecker, who began his career as an equipment manager during Reading’s inaugural season, 2001-02, has served as an equipment manager in the ECHL’s All-Star Game and Skills Competition for the past two seasons in a row.
