Internship Opportunities
The purpose of these internships is to give students hands-on experience in the career area of their choice. Most positions include office hours as well as game day responsibilities and total approximately ten – twenty hours per week. The positions are unpaid, however academic credit is available if applicable. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in Sports Management, Marketing, Ticket Sales, Broadcasting and/or Business.

MARKETING INTERNSHIPS
Marketing interns will assist the Marketing Department in daily and game-day duties including, but not limited to: - Assist with the Royals donations program
- Assist with Royals Kids Events
- Schedule game night activities, including National Anthem Singers, contacting promotional winners, etc.
- Assist in implementation of Royals special events, including (but not limited to) season ticket holder parties, Fan Appreciation Night and pre-game parties
- Assist with promotions on and off the ice
- Facilitate birthday parties on game nights
- Assist at community events, charitable outings and mascot appearances
Requirements: Availability for game days, special events and office hours. Interns must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate course of study that pertains to Sports Management, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or Business. Interns must possess excellent oral and written communications skills and come to work presenting a professional appearance and behavior. Other requirements include: the ability to work independently, capable of meeting deadlines, possess excellent computer skills, be extremely detail oriented and availabile during non-business hours.

GAME CREW INTERNSHIPS
Game Crew personnel will assist the Marketing Department in game-night duties including, but not limited to:
- Assist in implementation of Royals special events, including (but not limited to) season ticket holder parties, Fan Appreciation Night and pre-game parties
- Assist with on-ice and in-stands promotions
- Help with pre-game and/or post-game ceremonies
- Assist with handouts/giveaways pre-game and/or post-game
- Assist customers and season ticket holders at the Fan Appreciation Booth
- Assist the mascot with game night duties
- Coordinate game day arena setup
- Serve as a liaison with local hockey organizations for intermission games
- Coordinate with Slapshot and ticket sales department for execution of birthday parties on game nights

VIDEO PRODUCTION INTERNSHIPS
The Reading Royals Hockey Club, minor league affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins (NHL) have an immediate need for Game Presentation Media Interns. There are numerous Media positions available to assist the marketing manager with implementation of all visual aspects of the Royals game presentation. Candidates selected for these opportunities will perform one or more of the following roles; Camera Operator, Chyron Operator (videoboard graphics), Click Effects Operator (videoboard segments), graphic design, video editing, in-game music manager. The Royals prefer candidates that can commit to work the entire hockey season spanning from October through April/May, hours will be almost entirely during evenings from 5-10pm. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to operate/ familiarity with professional video cameras
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Effective time management skills and attention-to-detail
- Must be available for all Royals home games
- Ability with graphic design/ video editing software a plus
- DEPENDABLE- will arrive on time and demonstrate professionalism every night
