MISSION STATEMENT
To provide assistance to charitable organizations throughout Reading, Pennsylvania and the surrounding area serving underprivileged and disadvantaged youth and their families through fundraising activities, charitable drives and charitable grants or donations.
To engage in activities related to the provision of educational and recreational opportunities for children throughout Reading, Pennsylvania and the surrounding area;
To carry on and promote charitable and educational activities related to, or which may assist the accomplishment of such purposes; and
To take such action and perform such acts to accomplish its purposes with all the powers and authority conferred on nonprofit corporations by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, subject to limitations imposed on its actions under Section 501(c)3 of the Code.
HISTORY OF ROYALS CHARITIES
"Royals Charities" is dedicated to providing assitance to charitable organizations throughout Reading and the surrounding area serving underprivileged and disadvantaged youth and their families through fundraising activities, charitable drives related to the provision of educational and recreational opportunities for children and carry on and promote charitable grants or donations as well as educational activities related to, or which may assist the accomplishment of such purposes.
Royals Charities was founded in January 2002. The charitable arm of the Reading Royals participates in numerous community service events annually benefitting many local charities and organizations. The organization provides the team with the opportunity to run fundraising, sponsorships, donations, raffles, auctions, charity events, and programs. To date, Royals Charities distributed over $500,000 in cash, merchandise and tickets to school children and various fundraisers throughout Pennsylvania .
Moreover, Royals Charities has also assisted community organizations with their own fundraising efforts over the past eight years by donations of Reading Royals merchandise, such as jerseys and tickets.
Royals Charities continues to strive toward making a difference in the community. We continue to raise money for new charities as well as continue our commitment toward inspiring our community. The Reading Royals Organization will continue to expand its level of commitment.
